Lourdes Andrade

Faculty networks and engagement opportunities, IDEAL Fellowship Program

Lourdes Andrade is the Executive Director, Faculty Engagement and Early Career Development Programs, and the Director of the IDEAL Provostial Fellows Program in the Office of Faculty Development, Diversity and Engagement. Before joining the office, she served as the Senior Director for Equity and Inclusion Initiatives in Stanford’s School of Engineering, and has also held positions within the Office of the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education (VPUE) as the Director of the Leland Scholars Program (LSP) and the Director of Academic Policy & Academic Support in Undergraduate Advising & Research (UAR). 

Lourdes came to Stanford in 2001, working at the Stanford Teacher Education Program (STEP) as an advisor to teacher candidates.  She has also worked with graduate students and adult learners at UC Irvine and De Anza Community College.  Lourdes and her family served as Resident Fellows in Trancos in Wilbur Hall from 2016-2020, where they oversaw a residential community focusing on issues related to equity and social justice. She holds a Master of Arts in Education and is enrolled in the Higher Education Leadership Ph.D. program at Colorado State University.
