Gabilan Provost’s Discretionary Fund

Main content start

Thanks to an anonymous gift of endowment to the university in 2000 that has been named the Gabilan Provost’s Discretionary Fund, there are resources available for the recruitment and retention of faculty whose training and scholarship is in disciplines within the life sciences, natural sciences or engineering. In addition to these disciplinary backgrounds, faculty eligible for Gabilan support should have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the life sciences, natural sciences or engineering through their teaching, research, and/or service. Department chairs and deans work directly with the Provost’s Office to secure these funds.
