Programs and Workshops

New Faculty Orientation (NFO)

New Faculty Orientation (NFO) is organized by Faculty Development and Engagement, a unit of the Office for Faculty Advancement, and held annually in September.  NFO provides an opportunity to meet other new faculty from across the University and to learn about Stanford infrastructure, resources, and leaders. All new assistant, associate, and full professors (UTL and UML) are invited.

If you would like additional information about NFO and/or to get access to the presentations and resources shared at the most recent NFO, please email facultydevelopment@stanford.edu.

UHR Benefits Orientations for New Faculty (Online via Zoom)

University Human Resources offers benefits orientations for New Faculty online. During these workshops, new faculty members receive an overview of Stanford’s health, life and retirement savings benefits. For more information about the UHR benefits orientations for faculty members, contact the UHR service team at 877-905-2985.

Stanford Personal Website

Faculty at Stanford are eligible for a personal website on Stanford Sites with a yourname.people.stanford.edu URL. If you need assistance with setting up a personal website or lab website on Stanford Sites, office hours are available with Stanford Web Services (SWS). SWS can help you understand how to use your new site, get the appropriate Stanford branding, and launch your site.
