The Faculty Quality of Life Survey is a component of the IDEAL (Inclusion, Diversity and Equity in a Learning Environment) initiative that emerged from Stanford's long-range planning. Aiming to reassess what promotes faculty satisfaction and productivity and to determine where improvements are needed, the survey included questions on hiring and retention, diversity, mentoring, sexual harassment, workload, and workplace support, among other topics.

The survey was conducted in January 2019 and results were released in Fall 2019. For more details on the survey and to view survey results, visit https://facultysurvey.stanford.edu/.
